Charity Event in Support to the NHS
April 2010

Solartis Ltd in association with OK! Magazine are proud to present another fundraising event in support to the NHS and the NHS Fundraising Committee.

The NHS Fundraising Committee helps a number of good causes and NHS Research Projects through small events with the aim to raise £50,000 over the next 5 years for NHS Research. All 100% of donations are used directly to pay for NHS research costs associated with the fantastic research efforts at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital which is in danger of stalling due to a lack of funds.

Typically, the funds are used to purchase the necessary research equipment, to support the research staff and pay medical journals fees to make the results and usage available world wide for free.

This year alone, the committee have helped fund the presentation of 9 different patentable applications for NHS patients which could revolutionise vascular health diagnosis for the better. Without such fundraising efforts, NHS patients may never benefit from some of the breakthrough technologies discovered within the past 3 to 4 years.
